Android phones or Tablet in 'Safe Mode' is thesame as booting a Windows Pc into safe mode in order to load 'Windows' without any third-party softwares.
When this is done, you can easily detect and un-install any misbehaving Software(s) as well as troubleshoot the device to detect issues with the phone's battery life, freezes, crashes and other closely related problems.
Here's How To Boot Into Safe Mode.
For Android 4.1 and later devices
- Long-press the Power button until the Power options-menu appears.
- Again, long-press the Power Off option until you're asked if you want to re-boot the Android device in safe mode.
- Select ok.
For older versions of the Android device.
- Power-off the device.
- Long-press the power button to turn it back on.
- Release the button. When you see the logo appear during boot-up, simply hold down the Volume Up and Volume down buttons.
- Keep holding these two keys until the device boots into Safe Mode.
To exit the ‘Safe Mode’, simply restart the device normally i.e Long-Press the Powerbutton, Select “Power off”, then long-press the power button again to switch it back on.
